D'Canela Hosts Party for Tim Bishop [PHOTOS]

On Sunday, Luis Aucapina, the owner and manager of D’Canela Restaurant in Amagansett, gave a party to introduce local Latinos to Rep. Tim Bishop, D-Southampton, who is seeking re-election next month, according to Jeanne Frankl, the president of the East Hampton Democratic Committee.

Frankl said that Aucapina "decided to host the event after meeting Bishop last month at a small gathering in which California Congresswoman Linda Sanchez addressed a number of local Latino and Latina leaders and business people, including himself, about her admiration and support for Mr. Bishop with whom she has worked closely in Congress."

Bishop made brief remarks regarding his work on the issues of legalization and the Dream Act, Frankl said.
