PHOTOS: Officials, Community Celebrate Larry Cantwell

Cantwell steps down from his post as village administrator next month.

As Larry Cantwell approaches his retirement from East Hampton Village administrator next month, a party was held to celebrate his 31 years of service.

Mayor Paul F. Rickenbach Jr., Deputy Mayor Barbara Borsack, and members of the village board, were joined by Sen. Ken LaValle, R-Port Jefferson, Assemblyman Fred W. Thiele Jr., I-Sag Harbor, in giving Cantwell proclamations, during a ceremony at the South Fork County Club on Sunday.

Members of village organizations, such as the Ladies Village Improvement Society and the Village Preservation Society offered their thanks to Cantwell for all his help and guidance over the years.

Also, Cantwell's family and friends, including Steven Tekulsky and Alex Walter, shared stories, as they looked forward to Cantwell's next endeavor — running for town supervisor.

Check back later for a video from the evening.
