Op-Ed: Time To Protest Taxes

Tea Party hosts its fifth annual protest in East Hampton.

All are invited to the third annual TEA Party rally this Saturday on the triangle in East Hampton from noon to 1 p.m.

Grass roots activists will gather to protest unchecked government power, runaway government spending and, federal, state and local tax policies that force our East End neighbors to abandon their local roots and relocate to states with lower taxes and less regulations.

We protest the complete disregard of incumbent politicians to control their spending, balance the budget and eliminate spiraling entitlements.  We demand our elected officials read every word of laws and regulations they subject us to before they vote on them.  We expect them to live under the same laws and regulations as We The People.

Our slogan is "Taxed Enough Already," and our mission is to educate the electorate on the United States Constitution and its principles that have made our country the greatest force for good, for freedom and for individual liberty in the history of the world.
