Village board ready to adopt regulation that would requires dogs to be leashed within 300 feet of road ends during summer season.

PUBLIC HEARING
 

1. Introductory #08-2013, a proposed amendment to amend restrictions applicable to the permitted height of garages and the uses which may be conducted inside residential garage buildings.

AGENDA
 

1.    Approve claim vouchers for the month of May.

2.    Approve Warrants #55, #58, #59 (General), # 53 (Trust), # 54, #56, #57 (LOSAP) & # 60 (Capital).

3.    Approve budget transfer #1 dated 05-01-13.

4.    Approve departmental reports.  

5.    Adopt a negative SEQRA declaration with respect to Introductory # 7-2013.
  
6.    Adopt Introductory # 7-2013 as LOCAL LAW THIRTEEN-2013, hereby amending Ch. 77 (Beaches) allowing dogs the same access to the beach, but by adding a requirement that dogs be leashed within the more populated areas within 300 feet of the road ends (from the 2nd Sunday in May to Sept. 30th, during the permitted hours) so that their owners have better control over their encounters with other beach-goers and more awareness and a better ability to pick up dog waste.  

7.    Notice for a public hearing to be held on Thursday, June 6, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at the E.M.S. Building for the 2013-2014 Budget.  

8.    Accept Firematic Supply Company’s bid, total amount $29,100, for listed equipment for the Fire Dept, as per May 13th bid specifications (please refer to bid)

9.    Accept Bennett Manufacturing’s bid of $493.28 each for green trash cans w/plastic liners as per May 6th bid        specifications (please refer May 7th memo from S. Fithian)  

10.  Approve the purchase of 2 Hewlett computers off NYS Contract #PT65350, at the total cost of $8,982. (please refer to May 7th memo from Chief Larsen).  

11.  Employ following 2013 seasonal beach employees, effective retroactively to May 15, 2013 (please refer to May 14th memo from E. McDonald):                                                            

  • Brook Hartnett, Lifeguard, $ 13.00 hourly                                     
  • Kate Albrecht, Lifeguard, $ 15.00 hourly    
12.  Approve the $8,584 purchase of a 2013 Yamaha Grizzly 550 ATV for use by the lifeguards (please refer to May 6th memo w/attachments from E. McDonald)  

13.  Deem as surplus and of no value and approve for disposal one non-working Canon Imagerunner 3030 copier – serial # SUR00373 from Village Hall (total copy count: 394,949, purchased in 2003)    

14.  Approve the proposal received from Island Group Administration to provide administrative services for the Vision and Dental plans, at $7 per employee, per month (same cost as last year) for the period of 01/01/13 – 12/31/13 (please refer to copy of proposal submitted May 1st)    

15.   Approve contracts to provide fire & ambulance dispatching services to Sag Harbor, Montauk, Amagansett & Springs for the period of Feb. 1, 2014 – Jan. 31, 2016          

* Update on the New York State M54 Stormwater Plan will be presented at the June 21st meeting
