List of Necessities East Hampton's Collecting for Breezy Point

Public can drop off items at Town Hall or any firehouse, according to town supervisor.

East Hampton Town Supervisor Bill Wilkinson is making an appeal to residents to join in an effort to help a seaside community to the west that was devastated during Hurricane Sandy.

The first caravan of supplies sent to the Queens community was a success, he said, but more is needed and the town hopes to send another load of supplies up there by the end of the week.

Those who went, including Montauk homeowner Dennis O'Reilly, whose parents' home in Breezy Point suffered damaged, reported back what items can be used in the area — and they aren't clothes, for the most part.

Supplies can be dropped off at East Hampton Town Hall or any firehouse within the town, according to Wilkinson.
