Opponents Turns Out in Force Against Cyril's Expansion

Town board is considering a rezone request.

Those who attended an East Hampton Town Board meeting on Thursday night were overwhelmingly against a proposal for Cyril's Fish House to expand onto an adjacent property, according to 27East.

The application is under review by the town board because the proposal also includes rezoning the parcel Cyril's is on and the adjacent property from residential to business.

According to the website, 23 aired their concerns, including environmental impacts and public safety issues, including potential accidents. Patrons at Cyril's often line that area of the Napeague Stretch with cars and overflow from the outdoor bar spill into or close to the highway.
