Budget Committee Recommends Capital Plan

Committee details its recommendations to the town board.

The East Hampton Town Board is expected to vote on the supervisor's proposed $69 million spending budget for 2013 at its meeting on Thursday.

Following a public hearing earlier this month, the Budget & Financial Advisory Committee detailed its recommendations. Specifically, the committee recommended that the town develop "a robust multi-year capital plan to rebuild and modernize its infrastructure and protect its environmental resources."

The plan would tackle issues such as the scavenger waste plant, long-term capital planning and repairing town roads, among others.
