Village Police Logs: 5 DWI Arrests Over Past Week

Three arrests made over Memorial Day weekend in East Hampton Village.

The following information was supplied by the East Hampton Village Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate guilt. 

• Anthony E. Cavuoto, 22, of Patchogue, was arrested on an aggravated DWI charge, a misdemeanor, on May 19, after he was pulled over for speeding on Main Street in East Hampton Village at about 11:45 p.m., police said. The driver allegedly stopped at the light on Main Street and Woods Lane, and then turned right, finally pulling over for police. He appeared intoxicated and told police that he had several beers, according to his arrest report. His blood alcohol content was reportedly above. 18, leading to the aggravated DWI charge. Arraigned the following day, he was released on $350 bail. 

• Micah R. Diener, 45, of Manahawkin, was charged with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated after he allegedly drove down a one-way street on May 22. Police said that Diener drove the wrong way down Fithian Lane in a 2007 Toyota Tundra at about 8:30 p.m., and then filed to signal he was turning right onto Pantigo Road, and then disobeyed a no U-turn sign at the intersection of Pantigo Road and North Main Street. He appeared drunk, police said. He allegedly admitted to drinking wine earlier. 

• Nicholas D. Wrathall, 47, of Marina Del Ray, CA, was arrested on a misdemeanor DWI charge on Sunday at about 2 a.m. Police said he swerving on Montauk Highway, near Georgica Road, in a 2010 Jeep Wrangler. He was released on $500 bail. 

• Dylan R. Silverman, 23, of Dix Hills, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor DWI on Sunday at about 2:40 a.m. Police said he crossed over a double-yellow line on Pantigo Road, near Egypt Lane, and then into the shoulder portion of the road with his 2012 Mercedes. He was released on $3,500 bail. 

• Michael A. Fribourg, 22, of New York City, was picked up on a DWI charge on Monday at about 4:05 a.m. Driving a 2013 Audi, he swerved on Pantigo Road, police said. He reportedly appeared intoxicated when he was stopped. He was released on $750 bail.
