Village Police Logs: 1 DWI on Super Bowl Sunday

The following information was supplied by the East Hampton Village Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate guilt.

• Edgar Rodrigo Pinos Morocho, 39, of East Hampton, was arrested on a misdemeanor driving while intoxicated charge in East Hampton Village on Sunday at about 11:10 p.m. Village police said they saw a 1998 Chevy pickup truck swerving on Gingerbread Lane, near Maidstone Avenue, at about 10:40 p.m. The officer pulled the truck over, and smelled alcohol on the driver's breath as well as other signs that he was intoxicated. In addition to DWI, he was charged with three traffic violations, including unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. He was held overnight for arraignment. His bail information was not immediately available.
