Tree Erupts in Flames in Amagansett
LIPA called to help deal with tree fire Tuesday morning.
A tree in Amagansett burst into flames Tuesday morning in Amagansett.
The Long Island Power Authority is being summoned to Old Stone Highway and Town Lane. Amagansett Fire Department Chief Duane Denton was on scene, along with a fire engine, after receiving word that the top of a tree was on fire at about 9:30 a.m. It was surrounded by electric wires.
The fire department will stand by until LIPA arrives.
