A Sag Harbor man was arrested in East Hampton Village on Sunday on a felony driving while intoxicated charge.

Kenneth R. Coleman Jr. was speeding and swerving in 2005 Toyota Rav4 on Montauk Highway, near Green Hollow Road, at about 2:45 a.m., village police said. He was reportedly going 66 mph in a 40 mph zone, driving on the shoulder of the road, and crossed over the solid double-yellow line several times, before being pulled over.

Police said he appeared intoxicated and they said he told them he drank two beers about an hour before. He failed field sobriety tests, police said.

Due to a prior conviction, Coleman was charged with a felony at about 3:15 a.m., and his vehicle was seized. He was also charged with speeding in zone, failure to notify the DMV of a change of address, driving the shoulder and driving across hazardous markings.
