Police Still Investigating Body Found in Montauk Dunes
No additional information has been released, police said.
As police continue to investigate the case of a body found in the Montauk dunes on Friday, the name of the individual has not yet been released.
On Friday, police said the individual was found in the dunes along Old Montauk Highway near Cleveland Drive in Montauk.
According to East Hampton Town Police, on Friday at 11:47 a.m., management from a nearby motel called authorities requesting them to check on the well-being of a guest.
Officers searching the immediate area located a deceased individual in the dunes, police said.
Police said at this time, the death is not believed to be suspicious.
