Police Seeking Public's Help to Find Engagement Ring Thief

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and the Southampton Town Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a woman who stole an engagement ring late last year.

On Nov. 13, 2013, Christina Botaitis-Lopresti (pictured above) stole an engagement ring in East Quogue, police said. Botaitis-Lopresti may be in Patchogue or Sayville, possibly with a male companion, Andrew J. Hill, police said. 

They may be traveling in Hill’s 2003 silver Saturn Vue with New York license plate GAC1681, police said. Hill, who police said not a suspect but is wanted for information, is also pictured above.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
