  • The New York State Police of Riverside have charged a Shirley man with DWI. On June, 21, on Flamingo Avenue in Montauk, Justin Flores was stopped for a traffic violation. Subsequently, he was found to be drunk. He was issued traffic tickets returnable to the Town of East Hampton Court returnable on June 27.
  • The State Police of Riverside have arrested an Amityville man for driving while intoxicated. On June, 21, Jorge A. Salgado-Villalta, 48, was involved in a two car accident on Rt. 27 east of exit 62 in Eastport. Subsequently, he was found to be drunk, police said. He was held for arraignment at the Southampton Town Court.
  • The New York State Police of Riverside have charged a Biscayne, Florida man with DWI. On June, 22, Brian J. Moreno-Navarro, 28 almost struck a marked State Police car before being stopped for speeding and crossing over hazard markings in Montauk, police said. Moreno-Navarro was issued traffic tickets returnable to the town of East Hampton Court on June 26.
  • The State Police of Riverside have arrested two Mount Sinai men. The driver was charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by drugs, criminal possession of a controlled substance and controlled substance in non-original container. The passenger was charged with unlawful Possession of marijuana. On June, 22, Timothy F. Hughes, 23, the driver, was traveling east on Rt. 27 east of exit 64 in East Quogue when he was stopped for traffic violations. The car was searched and the passenger, Andrew J. Wentz, also 23, was found to be in possession of marijuana. Both subjects were issued appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Southampton Court on July 9.
  • The State Police of Riverside have arrested a Flanders man for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs and unlawful possession of marijuana. On June 22, Zachary R. Leonard, 21, was traveling south on Rt. 24 in Flanders when he was stopped for a traffic violation. Subsequently, he was found to be driving while under the influence of marijuana, police said. He was issued traffic tickets returnable to the Southampton Court on July 16.
