Police Logs: Town, Village P.D.'s Report Sunday DWI's

The following information was supplied by the East Hampton town and village police. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate guilt.

Nil Erbil, 36, of Montauk, was arrested by East Hampton Town Police on DWI charges on Oct. 16. According to police reports, Erbil was observed rolling through a stop sign and was pulled over in the parking lot of the Montauk 7-Eleven soon after. Police reported that she had a smell of alcohol on her breath upon approaching her, and proceeded to fail a field sobriety test. Police said she was arrested and transported to headquarters, where she reportedly blew a 0.12% blood alcohol level. She was held for morning arraignment.

Cesar Criollo, 39, of East Hampton, was arrested by East Hampton Town Police on Oct. 16 on charges of driving without an interlock device and aggravate unlicensed operation in the second degree. Police said Criollo was pulled over near the intersection of Cedar Street and Hands Creek Road for failing to maintain his lane of travel. Police reported that upon investigation, it was found that Criollo's license was revoked for a conviction of DWI with a blood alcohol content of 0.18% or higher. He was released on $250 bail and given an appearance ticket.

Jose Rea-Barrerra, 50, of East Hampton, was arrested by East Hampton Town Police on Oct. 16 on DWI charges. According to police reports, Rea-Barrerra was observed traveling north on Three Mile Harbor Road near Marina Lane not maintaining his lane and was pulled over, when police reported smelling alcohol on his breath. Police also reported that Barrerra had glassy and bloodshot eyes, and upon asking him to exit the vehicle, was very unsteady on his feet. He was placed under arrest, and reportedly blew a 0.14% blood alcohol test at the police station. Rea-Barrerra was held for morning arraignment.

Luis Leon-Villa, 36, of East Hampton, was arrested on Oct. 16 by East Hampton Village Police in relation to an alleged DWI. He was charged with first offense DWI, aggravated DWI, and refusing to take a breath test. According to police reports, police received a tip that an erratic driver in a dark colored van was driving in the area. Leon-Villa was later pulled over for failing to keep right on Main Street. Police said that when an officer approached the vehicle, a strong odor of alcohol emanated from the vehicle. Leon-Villa was reportedly asked to exit the vehicle and police said he was unsteady on his feet and subsequently failed several roadside sobriety tests. He was arrested and transported to headquarters for processing and held for morning arraignment.
