East Hampton Village police are investigating a trespass report a house on Talmage Lane just before the New Year.

In a report released on Wednesday morning, police said they were called to the house, just around the corner from village police headquarters at the Emergency Services Building on Cedar Street, after guests of the homeowner arrived to find two alleged trespassers there on Dec. 30 at about 11 a.m.

A 31-year-old man and a woman, whose age was not disclosed, did not have the homeowner's permission to be there, according to police. Their names were not released.

The couple, whom police spoke to inside the house, were not arrested, though the homeowner does wish to pursue charges, police said.

The matter was turned over to the detective division.

Chief Jerry Larsen said on Wednesday that the investigation was ongoing and he was not able to release any further details at this time. The report released Wednesday was not a final report.

Why hasn't the mayor or chief said anything. Everywhere else there is a press conference. The public wants answers.these people think they are above the law. The mayor and chief need to go

I DON'T think the Mayor and Chief need to go persay .. BUT THEY .. should in the profession of leadership .. grab ALL this nonsense by the HORNS and wrestle the truth as they would tell it ... like ROB FORD of Canada fame ... it is what is is but own up to it - we'll decide as the public to accept your integrity or deny your willingness to duck and cover . JOBS - carreers all come to a end don't let others actions affect your personal integrity as LEADERS - I have respect for both men - BUT- gentlemen the PUBLIC WANTS INFO AND ANSWERS - and WE all expect EQUAL treatment under our laws ... PLAIN AS THE SKY is BLUE -- THE stink needs wiping up - the good need advancement and life goes on - but it's time our leaders act as such - even IF it puts you in a bind for any reason - PEOPLE respect honesty and have forgiveness in their capacities - BUT CONTINUE TO ACT AS IF ABOVE ACCOUNABILITY - expect the people to bring you down - A PRESS CONFERENCE - at LOCAL TV - tell the local community the facts as you know it - decide a course of actuon that JOE CITIZEN has to live with - END NOW the special treatment - We are now the global town of perceived corruption .. I know right from wrong - and so does the public you serve ... all this hiding from dealing with several problems is WRONG as the day is LONG .... Engage YOUR community head on and let us digest the content . PROTECT AND SERVE - A hard job indeed .. now find your way to the microphone and tv lens ... it's time WE THE PEOPLE - be informed !!! Godspeed Gentlemen !
