Police: Drunken Driver Flees Scene of Accident

The Southold Town Police arrested a Southold man for driving while drunk and fleeing the scene of a car accident.

On July 2, at 12:54 p.m. Roberto E. Bachez-Reyes, 34, was involved in a car accident on Second Street in Greenport. He turned onto Webb Street and abandoned the car at the dead end before fleeing on foot into the woods. He was later apprehended and found to be drunk.

Bachez-Reyes was taken to the Southold Police headquarters, processed and held for arraignment.
