PHOTOS: Firefighters Perform Training Drill

Firefighters with East Hampton Fire Department participated in a drill last week at the East Hampton Town Emergency Services Training Center in Wainscott that brought the Heavy Rescue Squad together with Hook & Ladder No. 1.

The drill focused on rescuing a dummy victim from more than one unconventional location; in this case, the victim was located on a rooftop and in another instance, up high on scaffolding. Both scenarios, where the victim was unreachable through conventional means, required the use of an aerial ladder and coordination between both crews.
