On Wednesday, a fire broke out in the Montauk Shores Condominiums, destroying two houses.

Two houses were lost after a fire broke out in the Montauk Shores Condominiums in Montauk on Wednesday morning around 6 a.m. The Montauk Fire Department, along with help from the Amagansett and East Hampton Fire Departments, were able to save several mobile homes in the oceanfront complex off Deforest Road. Firefighters were on scene for about two and a half hours, and Montauk firefighters were later called back for a small rekindle at about 10:30 a.m.
