Gas Leak Reported in East Hampton

National Grid has been asked to shut off gas while the line is repaired.

Update: Fire department officials left the scene at about 2 p.m.

The is responding to a gas leak at 116 Accabonac Road in East Hampton.

Paul Greenwood of the reported an unmarked line was hit just before 1:30 p.m.

Fire chiefs had National Grid notified to shut off the gas in the area.

The road is closed between Floyd Street and Accabonac Road in the meantime.
