Fire Breaks Out in Montauk House

Initial reports were of a victim inside, but a female occupant is now reported safe.

The responded to a house fire in Montauk on Thursday afternoon, where initially a victim was reported trapped in the house. 

The victim, a woman, has since been reported as safe, however. According to chatter on the police department frequency, she did not require to be transported to the hospital.

Fire personel were called to the fire at 5 North Farragut Road at about 2:15 p.m.

Volunteers were venting the roof and had called for the assistance of the .
