East Hampton Woman Lands in Jail After Hampton Bays Traffic Stop
Police found cocaine, marijuana and counterfeit bills during a traffic stop on Wednesday.
An East Hampton woman is being held on $1,000 bail after a traffic stop in Hampton Bays on Wednesday.
New York State police were patrolling Sunrise Highway in Hampton Bays on Wednesday at about 2:30 a.m., when they said they observed a 2005 Lincoln Town Car speeding and pulled it over.
The driver, Rolando A. Briceno, 30, of Brooklyn, was allegedly smoking marijuana and carrying a small amount of cocaine. The two passengers — Denisha P. Robbins, 29, of East Hampton, N.Y. and Takia N. Hedrington, 25, of Brooklyn — were each found in possession of a small amount of cocaine, police said. Hedrington was carrying a small amount of marijuana and counterfeit United States currency, as well, police said.

Briceno was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh-degree, both misdemeanors.
Hedrington was charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument in the first-degree, a felony, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh-degree, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, Unlawful Possession of marijuana, a violation. She was being held at the Suffolk County jail on $10,000 bail.
