Driver Reportedly Runs from East Hampton Crash

Passenger left behind after vehicle hits tree; two ambulances requested.

A driver who crashed into a tree on Oak View Highway, near Hands Creek Road, on Sunday evening reportedly fled the scene on foot.

East Hampton Town police were called to the accident, near , just before 7 p.m., after receiving several calls that a crash had occurred. 

The driver was no where to be found, but a passenger reportedly stayed behind.

were called to the scene at about 7:15 p.m., when the passenger complained of stomach pains.

Another vehicle was involved.

A second ambulance was called to the scene just before 7:30 p.m.
