Detectives Probe 2 Burglaries

Police logs show that a house in Springs and a house in Northwest Woods were hit.

East Hampton Town police detectives are investigating two burglaries that were reported last week, according to reports released this week.

Approximately $400 in computer equipment were stolen from a house on Glade Road in Springs earlier this month. On Dec. 19, the complainant reported an Acer laptop computer, a Linksys wireless router, and a D-Link wireless router — along with a bottle of Absolut Vodka — was stolen from the residence between Dec. 2 and Dec. 18. The complainant also told police that when she noticed, when she returned to her house, that the left burner on her kitchen stove was left on. There were no signs of forged entry.

A 32-inch LCD LG television was taken from a house on Semaphore Road in the Northwest Woods sometime between Nov. 20 and Dec. 18. The homeowner told police this is the second time his house has been burglarized — furniture was stolen about a year ago. The TV was estimated at $500 in value. There did not appear to be any forced entry.

A larceny report was filed on Dec. 3, but police just released the report this week.
