A Ronkonkoma woman is facing a charge that she stole $400,000 in her capacity as a bookkeeper for in East Hampton.
Suffolk County spokesman Robert Clifford confirmed that Kerri Dewhirst, 36, will turn herself in to on Thursday morning.
The "defendant while acting in her capacity as bookkeeper for Schenck Fuels stole approximately $400,000 from employer," Clifford said.
Her arrest will be processed there and then she will be arraigned at the county courthouse in Riverhead before Judge James C. Hudson.
Indicted by a grand jury, she will be charged with second-degree grand larceny, a felony, Clifford said.
Police Chief Jerry Larsen did not return a call for comment.
