Crimes Nearby: Police Pepper Spray Hampton Bays Man

SOUTHAMPTON

Pascal Leader, 23, of Amagansett was arrested Monday at 5:06 a.m. by at the corner of Brick Kiln Road and Noyac Road in unincorporated Sag Harbor and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. said Leader was spotted sleeping in his car along Brick Kiln Road. Police then discovered Leader had Xanax pills that were not in an approved container, according to the arrest report.

RIVERHEAD

Two cyclists were arrested in Flanders and Riverside on Monday and charged with possession of illegal drugs in two unrelated incidents, according to Southampton Town police. At about 7 p.m., police said they saw Brian Kizielewicz, age 29, riding his bike "in an erratic manner" on Flanders Road. An officer stopped Kizielewicz and found he was under the influence of an unknown drug, police said. Kizielewicz was in possession of marijuana, PCP, and heroin, according to police. Kizielewicz was arrested and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, one count of unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, and one count of appearing in public under the influence of other than alcohol.

Kizielewicz was the second cyclist police said was found with drugs on Monday. Police stopped Shawanna James, 39, of Riverhead at about 3 a.m. for not having front or back lights on her bike. When an officer stopped James, she said she had a crack pipe in her purse, according to a police report. Police said they then found crack cocaine in a Mentos container. James was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. She was also transported to police headquarters and held for morning arraignment.

An unknown suspect or suspects stole two handguns from a bedside table drawer at a house on Ostrander Avenue on Sept. 21. Riverhead police said a man who lives at the home told them a .38 caliber Smith and Wesson pistol and a .22 caliber Jennings pistol were taken from his drawer. The man said nothing else was disturbed from the residence, according to a police report. Police are investigating the incident.

NORTH FORK

Andrew LePre, 21, of Cutchogue, was charged with second-degree criminal trespass, a misdemeanor, on Monday at 11:03 p.m. after he refused to leave a home on Alvah's Lane in Cutchogue when he was asked to, police said. When police placed him under arrest, he also refused to place his hands behind his back and became physically aggressive with the officers on the scene, punching and kicking and violently resisting attempts to handcuff him, police said. LePre was also charged with resisting arrest and was held at police headquarters in Peconic overnight for arraignment, police said.

Paul Reinekens, 24, of Southold was charged with second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, both misdemeanors, on Saturday after police responded to a disturbance call at 540 First Street in Greenport, police said. Upon investigation, police found that Reinekens had gone to the residence to confront an ex-girlfriend and threatened one of the female residents of the house with a shotgun and told that person that he was going to kill them, police said. Reinekens then fled the scene and was later apprehended by Southold Police K-9 unit and was arrested, police said.

WESTHAMPTON-HAMPTON BAYS

used pepper spray to subdue a 19-year-old Hampton Bays man who swung his fist at an officer at in Hampton Bays early Saturday morning. He was charged with resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration, both misdemeanors. He was also charged with disorderly conduct and second-degree harassment, both violations.

Eugenio Guevara-Martinez, 32, of Hampton Bays was arrested Friday at 4:14 p.m. at the corner of Ponquogue Avenue and Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays and charged with aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said Guevara-Martinez was stopped for driving out of lane.

Antonio Campohermoso, 28, of Southampton was arrested Friday at 11:29 p.m. at the corner of Flanders Road and Sunrise Highway in Hampton Bays and charged with aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said Campohermoso was stopped for changing lanes without using his blinker.

Tecum Sebastian, 36, of Hampton Bays was arrested Sunday at 10:56 p.m. on County Road 31 in Westhampton and charged with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a felony, and aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor. Sebastian was stopped for a traffic violation when police discovered he was intoxicated and that his license had been suspended, according to the arrest report.
