A 17-year-old from Sag Harbor, who was arrested Monday, is accused of eight burglaries in Sag Harbor Village this summer, as well as stealing a car, village police said.
Devin K. Brevard, who lives on Walker Avenue in the village, was picked up on the Bridgehampton-Sag Harbor Turnpike on Monday and brought to Sag Harbor Village Police headquarters for questioning.
Brevard's mother consented to a search of her home, where police said they found several items stolen from homes in the village from July to September, they said.
Brevard is charged with eight counts of second-degree burglary, one count of third-degree grand larceny in relation to a stolen motor vehicle, and four counts of criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth-degree, a misdemeanor.
Brevard was arraigned Tuesday.
Police are asking anyone who may have information regarding these cases to call 631-725-0623.
