Cops: Marijuana Plants, Stolen Handgun Found During Search

The following information was supplied by the East Hampton Town Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate guilt.

A Montauk man was allegedly growing marijuana in his house on North Fleming Court and when police executed a search warrant there, they found a juvenile in possession of a loaded stolen handgun, according .

In an arrest report released on Tuesday afternoon, records show Mark E. Dombrowski, 56, was arrested on July 19 at 12:45 a.m.

"Following a detectives' investigation, a search warrant was obtained for the residence located at 5 North Fleming Court in Montauk," police said. A loaded handgun, later discovered to be stolen, was found to be in possession of the juvenile, whose age and gender was not released.

Marijuana plants were found growing inside the residence. Dombrowski took responsibility for them, police said.

Dombrowski was charged with unlawfully growing cannabis, fourth-degree criminal possession of marijuana with the weight being more than two ounces, which is a misdemeanor, and child endangerment, also a misdemeanor.

The juvenile was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, both misdemeanors.

Dombrowski and his co-defendant was released on an appearance ticket.
