Cops: Crack Cocaine, Other Drugs Found During Pat-Down

Southampton man charged with a misdemeanor and violation in East Hampton Village.

The following information was supplied by the East Hampton Village Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate guilt.

• A 26-year-old Southampton man was arrested on drug charges in East Hampton Village on July 13.

Vlllage police said they received a report that five men were smoking marijuana by Sneakerology on Main Street at about 8 a.m. Police pat down the Southampton man and found a bag of marijuana in his left pocket, and also two clear plastic bags in his back pocket inside a cigarette box. He told police it was "weed and crack cocaine," according to a police report.

Later, police tested the substances and found that one bag was MDMA.

McCoy was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. He was released on $500 bail, and will be arraigned in East Hampton Justice Court on Aug. 1.
