Bulldozer Takes a Spill After Hitting Train Trestle

A Caterpillar bulldozer fell off a flatbed trailer and onto its side after reportedly hitting the bottom of the train trestle in East Hampton Village on Saturday afternoon. A Mack 10-wheeled dump truck pulling the flatbed made it under the overpass on Route 114, but not the bulldozer. No one was hurt, but the East Hampton Fire Department responded to contain some leaky fuel. Traffic continued to flow by using the shoulder until the trailer and bulldozer were turned right side up. No word on whether the train trestle is damaged.
