A bicyclist was hit by a van on Montauk Highway in Amagansett on Wednesday afternoon at around 3:30 p.m.
The Amagansett Fire Department ambulance, chiefs and fire police responded to the accident, which occurred across from the Amagansett Square, according to a witness.
It appears the bicyclist suffered a head injury.
An advanced emergency medical technician with the Springs Fire Department also responded to the scene.
A fire chief called for a Medevac to land at the East Hampton Airport and take the patient to Stony Brook University Medical Center.
