Alec Baldwin's Stalker Gets 7 Months in Jail

Genevieve Sabourin was found guilty on Thursday after a bench trial in New York City.

The woman whom Alec Baldwin said showed up uninvited at his Amagansett house during her stalking campaign last year is headed to prison for seven months, according to The New York Daily News.

Genevieve Sabourin was found guilty on Thursday after a bench trial and sentenced to 180 days in jail, plus the 30 days for courtroom antics. The judge gave her a stern talking-to about her outbursts during Baldwin and his wife Hilaria's testimony.

"You had no right to continue communications or pursue contact you knew to be unwanted and unwelcome," The News reported Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Robert Mandelbaum said.

He also issued a five-year order of protection.

About a week before she was arrested for the New York City incident she stood trial for, Baldwin called police to his Amagansett house after Sabourin showed up.

According to the incident report, a woman in a silver sedan pulled into his driveway and exited the car on March 31, 2012. Baldwin called police at at about 4:40 p.m., but the woman had already driven off when an officer arrived. The department looked for the vehicle, but could not locate it.

He provided police with a description of the woman — mid-40s, shoulder length dirty blond hair, wearing a jacket and a violet colored top. There was no mention of an ongoing stalking problem in the report.

Baldwin and his now wife Thomas were engaged the same weekend during their stay on the South Fork.

The weekend she was arrested in New York City, town police received a call from a New York City Police Department detective informing them that a suspect, Genevieve Sabourin, had been identified, Town Police Chief Ed Ecker said at the time.

According to The New York Post, Sabourin, a 40-year-old Canadian actress sent emails and text messages to Baldwin confessing her love for him, that she wanted to have his baby and that she needed money. She was also captured on video at his New York City apartment.
