The Montauk Friends of Erin's 50th Annual Parade seemed a success this morning. The suddenly brisk and, towards the end, wet weather did not deter people from all over Long Island from participating in this proud East End tradition.
This year, the FOE set the start time at 10 a.m., an attempt to produce a more family-friendly and less drink-driven event. There did seem to be more families along the parade route, as well as fun costumes and floats.
It's too early to tell, but the local watering holes may have made up any money lost during Sunday with crowds of people on Saturday night.
Here's hoping everyone enjoyed the good things the weekend offered.
Here are some photos.
