Property Owners Should Be Allowed to Save Their Homes

As Sand's currency is rising, she must choose between the inexorable forces of Nature and man's desires.

Sand waits at the water's edge, her arms stretched wide, from Gardiner's Bay to Montauk and beyond. She takes her orders from the ocean or bay, not man's desires.

Sand is conflicted. Though powerful, she cannot assert her strength without balancing uneasy bedfellows: all that Nature can so effortlessly muster and a worldly response, guided by private and public interests.

Her currency, once undervalued, has risen on the East End far above the most precious of metals and cherished commodities. While fossil fuel has produced sovereign states with wealth beyond compare, sand determines how we come and go, where we live and sometimes, even die. Buy her now at today's price.

Sand fervently supports those pursuing the right to save their homes from her shifting fortunes with a documented plan for the most sustainable outcome possible.

She would help if she could but disdains responsibility. She is restless. She is tired. Her fondest hope: be still and sleep. If only she could.
