As Thanksgiving approaches next week, it's a good time to take notice of the kind things we do for one another. With Superstorm Sandy having just occurred a few weeks ago, we were thinking about all the ways that neighbors have been helping neighbors, both near and far.
There were heroes right here on the South Fork, like Bruce Beyer, who pulled a woman out of the water as he was preparing for the storm to hit. A kind act can go a long way, too.
Do you have a story to share about something kind someone did for you? For your family member? For your friend? You don't necessarily have to use names — though we encourage you to recognize that special person. They deserve it, right? Share your stories in the comments below.
