Stranded Turtles in East Hampton!

Three sea turtles have stranded on East Hampton beaches in the past 2 weeks! They were found in Napeague Harbor, Gardiners Bay by Flaggy Hole Road and at Cedar Point in the Northwest! PLEASE get out and enjoy our beautiful beaches and search the wrack line, the shore line and everywhere in between for stranded turtles. You may even spot one floating on the surface. Check out this article for information on rescue training-http://easthampton.patch.com/groups/deborah-klugherss-blog/p/learn-how-to-help-rescue-cold-stunned-s... If you spot a sea turtle (or any marine mammal) please call 631-369-9829. It is a 24 hr. Emergency Hot-line number, so don't hesitate to call any day, anytime, day or night. If you are unsure if the animal needs help, call the Foundation and let them decide.
