Which Business Offers the Best in Customer Service?

Last week, East Hampton Patch readers said customer service is alive and well.

Earlier this month, we asked East Hampton Patch readers if customer service is alive and well.

In East Hampton, it appears that it is.

MNassauer gave a shout out to several businesses: "Justin at Bridgehampton AutoSport (recently moved from EH), Dentist Beth Rosner, Alex/Julia/Maria at Wainscott Hess, Erika (Wainscott Pets that's now closed), the pharmacy crew (especially Dana) at White's Pharmacy, Han at Phoenix Restaurant, stand out the most in reassuring me that customer service is very much alive out here!"

lutheranliar said, "The Amagansett IGA has the nicest people working there: everyone from the ladies stocking produce to the checkout clerks to the butchers (the best!) -- they are all unfailingly helpful and pleasant. I always feel welcome when I come in, and always leave with a smile."

A few other stores were mentioned, such as, The Golden Pear in East Hampton, East Hampton True Value Hardware, Waldbaums, Apple Savings Bank in East Hampton and Sag Harbor, Buckley's Garden Center, Fairway Restaurant at Poxabogue, Sam's Restaurant, Citarella's in East Hampton, Bass Shoe Outlet in Amagansett.

Readers, tell us where they get the best customer service. Where is there a cashier, clerk, teller, business owner, receptionist, etc., who always has a smile and goes out of their way for you? We'd like to know who that person is and recognize what they contribute to making East Hampton a place you can still find great customer service. Leave a comment below.

Everyone that works at Citarella's in East Hampton are pleasant and accommodating. I am always greeted with a smile even during the crazy summer months.

Gubbins, White's Pharmacy, Sams Restaurant, the staff at Bridgehampton National Bank, and that's just off the top of my head! I find there are still quite a few local places with great customer service, where people still greet you by name and with a smile--
