Exit Poll: Who Received Your Vote for Supervisor?

Let's try to gauge how the candidates are doing in the polls.

Tuesday is Election Day and it's going to be a long day. The polls opened at 6 a.m. and close at 9 p.m., so in between, let's try to gauge how the candidates for East Hampton Town Supervisor are doing. Tell us, in our anonymous poll below, whether Zachary Cohen or Bill Wilkinson received your vote. You can also tell us in the comments section. As far as the poll goes, let's work on the honor system. Only vote once, please.

Didn't actually see a poll to vote in above, so I'll leave a comment for now ... voted for Mr. Wilkinson. He's had to make some very tough decisions in order to clean up the finances of the town and deserves a couple of more years to make sure that the finances are back to par for a great town like ours. The people in this town cannot afford higher taxes right now, so to guarantee that, you have to choose the man with the record of ensuring that town taxes stay in line.

I don't know why Montauk has to vote at the Playhouse there is little parking. It's going to be a disaster at 5:00.

Worked this morning at the Montauk Playhouse, a little hairy...parking was a little bite tight...The women and men are working hard down there to keep lines short and everyone informed, but remember to fill in the little circles...Go Team Wilkinson!!!!!

How about a Councilman and Highway Super exit Poll? The Supervisor race won't even be close. The other races will be!

"Stupor"visor Wilkinson does not deserve one vote. COHEN ALL THE WAY!

Why call him a name? Why not just say you support Mr. Cohen and/or tell us why you support him or don't support Mr. Wilkinson. I'm curious to know why people vote for one of the other. I wrote above why I support Mr. Wilkinson. But I easily could have also said, I do not support Mr. Cohen because after extensively and repeatedly reading his platform online it is clear that his plans all involve raising taxes (everything he proposes will cost taxpayers more money so taxes will have to go up). Now is not a good time to raise taxes. It's clear Mr. Cohen will mean less money in my pockets. Mr. Wilkinson has proven his path for the town does not.

Wilkinson, because he actually came in and did what he said he would do, clean up the mess McGintee and the Democrats made, the same democrats who think the answer to every problem is to raise taxes.

I voted for me ! It was a no brainier..
Carole Campolo November 08, 2011 at 10:22 PM
Good luck Martin. I voted for Wilkinson. He is one of the very few politicians who has ever kept a promise. In his case, he made and kept nearly 20 promises. He has been a brilliant supervisor.

Finance is NOT the only concern of a REAL COMMUNITY; Indeed Wilky has made some tough financial decisions; However his Financial achievements do not outweigh quality of life decisions ; our town seems to be accessible by outsiders for their chosen activities ; while local desires are set aside as "not worthy of a COMMUNITY solution". Discrimination of lifestyle is in question ; and is obvious by A recent event of "silence" with respect to our groups efforts to prove ourselves a user group that could function within community standards IF GIVEN the opportunity. Avoiding a user group is disgraceful in such a town that preaches the group hug . I only wish he had allowed us "inclusion " into the fabric of this diverse community. Assimilation is community : arrogance is Bill Wilkinson. Until he changes his stance ; we'll just agree to disagree. So the reason for my Write in Campaign . I will not stand on the sideline while the elitist agenda takes precedent over my lifestyle choices . A little for them .. A little for us. It's become shameful . A lawsuit may soon be organized to challenge his position on several long standing issues. Thnx for the well wishes.

Zach Cohen. Wilkinson has been the most divisive Town Supervisor, and encouraged the most divisive board, in 30 years.Out of touch, and hopefully out of office.

I just love the fact that all these politicians give hearty lip service to "keeping jobs local", "supporting local businesses", "supporting the local economy", "making sure our young people can live and work here", "creating jobs", blah blah blah! At the same time, these same politicians are chasing local businesses and jobs out of town! Where are my employees going to go when we are forced to leave East Hampton?? Where are the jobs? PULEEZE.
