I was in Rite Aid Pharmacy yesterday, at Bridgehampton Commons. The line was incredible. One pharmacist on duty giving flu shots and trying to fill prescriptions at the same time.

Its the same thing every year. Drug companies need to sell their vaccine so they create mass hysteria through the media. So sick of it.

Via East Hampton Patch's Facebook page, Jennifer Chavez said, "it's scary." Pam LaMonda said, "Actually causing me to get the flu shot for the first time ever." Tina Duryea said, "Everyone I know who got the flu shot got sick." Lillian Prosaw Schenkler said, "The news makes it sound scary. Get the flu shot. Wash your hands. Relax." Lutha Leahy-Miller said, "It's just the flu!"

It's all about those drug companies trying to sell their shots by creating panic in the media. Don't buy it folks. Get outside, breathe in some fresh sea air every day, get as much sunshine as you can and eat healthy fruits and vegetables. Drink fresh squeezed citrus. My parents did this and were practically never sick a day in their lives.

It does look like the media is giving the flu alot of attention! Remember vitamin D-3 helps protect against getting the flu Also the CDC website reminds us that this years flu shot is 60% effective, so you can still get the flu! Lastly, it has been published that when kids get the flu shot, it may weaken their immune system (Journal of Virology: Annual vaccination against influenza virus hampers development of virus-specific CD8⁺ T cell immunity in children.....seasonal flu vaccine may actually weaken children's immune systems and increase their chances of getting sick from flu not included in the vaccine).
