Peter Fabrizio's Memorial Set

Springs man died while vacationing in Costa Rica.

Peter L. Fabrizio, of Springs, died suddenly of natural causes in Guanacaste, Costa Rica, on Dec. 21, 2011. He was 62.

Fabrizio, a life-long East Hampton resident born in Southampton Hospital and a graduate of East Hampton High School, was for 42 years.

He was the son of Concetta Moltisanti Fabrizio and Michael Fabrizio Sr. of East Hampton, who died in 2011 and 2010. In his high school years he played the bass guitar in a local band, "Friends."

Fabrizio is survived by his wife of 21 years, Andrea Gurvitz, and his children: Alona (Michael) Fusco of Lake Grove, N.Y., Michal Fabrizio of Rockaway Park, N.Y., and James Peter Fabrizio, of East Hampton; and his brother Dr. Michael Fabrizio, Jr. (Kathleen), of Richmond, MA. Two grandchildren Aliah and Bella and nephew Michael Joseph Fabrizio and niece Mia Fabrizio also survive him.

A memorial visitation will be held on Jan. 21 at 2 to 4 p.m. at in East Hampton. In lieu of flowers, his family has suggested donations in Mr. Fabrizio's memory to the National Association of Mental Illness at www.nami.org.
