Lou Reed's Wife Says He Wanted To Die at Home in Springs

Laurie Anderson wrote letter to The East Hampton Star after her rocker husband's death.

Legendary rocker Lou Reed died doing one of the things he loved most, tai chi, according to his wife, Laurie Anderson. 

After Reed, 71, passed away on Sunday, Anderson wrote an open letter to The East Hampton Star, saying her husband spent his final days at their house in Springs.

"He died on Sunday morning looking at the trees and doing the famous 21 form of tai chi with just his musician hands moving through the air," she wrote to The Star
