Amagansett Man Takes His Own Life After DWI

A 47-year old Amagansett man took his own life three days after being charged with driving while intoxicated, reports The East Hampton Star.

Christsopher A. Cosich, a personal trainer and bodybuilder, struck a tree just off Abram’s Landing Road last Friday at around noon. According to the Star, he appeared intoxicated and admitted drinking since the night before. Police confiscated a gun they found in the car.

Cosich complained of chest pain after the accident and was taken to Southampton Hospital, where he agreed to have his blood alcohol level checked. As of Sunday night, the East Hampton Town Police had released no blood alcohol reading.
