Spots To Have Breakfast in Montauk
Where to get the best muffins, cappuccinos and great buffets.
Not too long ago, , the Montauk Bake Shoppe, and Naturally Good were the only spots I liked to get breakfast in Montauk. With all that’s been happening lately, some great newcomers have joined the list. Here are a few I recommend checking out this season.
- For a quiet bite by the pool, check out Backyard at Sole East.
-For coffee and newspapers close to the beach, stop into Coffee Tauk, just down the block from the Sloppy Tuna.

- For a great breakfast buffet, head over to Hurricane Alley at the Montauk Yacht Club.
- For a great cappuccino (made by Floyd) and yummy homemade muffins and granola in a whimsically fun and laid-back setting, pop into “the Nook” at Ruschmeyer’s. (Breakfast is for hotel guests only right now but will be opening up to the public very soon!)

Make sure to call ahead to see if they’re open, since schedules are a little wonky before high season officially hits at the end of June.
