May is National Water Safety Month, the YMCA East Hampton RECenter and the National Water Safety Month Coalition wants to remind you that wherever you and your family swim, be water aware.

Swimming is great fun, whether you're at home, at the YMCA pool, or at a waterpark.

May is National Water Safety Month, the and the National Water Safety Month Coalition wants to remind you that wherever you and your family swim, be water aware. Follow all the rules, and make sure that there is adult supervision.  Water safety is everyone's responsibility.

Did you know that Drowning is the second leading cause of unintentional injury-related death for children? Research shows that if a child doesn't learn to swim by the third grade, they likely never will. Teaching children to swim is a vital skill for drowning prevention.  It’s never too early or too late to learn how to swim.

3. I pledge to always dive feet first
