PHOTO: Interesting Roadside Find

A driver noticed a fin on the side of an Amagansett road on Friday morning.

We've all seen road kill on the side of the road, but this is one animal we're pretty sure didn't get hit by a car.

Kamal Jackson spied a fin on Albert's Landing Road, on the corner of Old Stone Highway, in Amagansett as he was driving early on Friday morning. After the double-take, he backed up for a closer view. Low and behold, there was what we think is a sand shark.

So what's the deal? Did the heavy rain bring it ashore overnight? The bay beach is an estimate mile and a half away. Or did someone dump it? Tell us what you think.

Have you ever seen something like this tossed on the side of the road? What's the most interesting thing you've ever found roadside? Leave your comments below.
