Hello, Readers.
Hope everyone is having a good, non-winter this year. February is the month that I find the blues catching up with me. It's usually so cold and snowy that I'm stuck inside with my remote. This year it's a bit different. Not so cold and definitely not snowy, yet. Though I still feel that hybernation thing happening. It's harder to motivate myself to get into the gym and really workout like I usually do. Yes, even us trainers get into a slump. I try not to beat myself up about it, but it does happen. What I'm doing differently this year is mixing it up in the gym. Instead of making sure I get in an hour of weights a day, I'm incorporating some other techniques to inspire myself. Like today for instance. It is supposed to be my leg day, but today I did some leg work, then I threw in some cardio moves and plyometrics to add some spice to the routinue. I didn't put a time limit on the workout. I just went into the gym and had some fun with it. The workout lasted a half hour, but I feel good. Got my heart rate up a bit too. So if you're without motivation, just take one step towards doing something. You never know, it may turn into something fun and good for you too. Give it a shot. I did, and I feel better for it.
