Insight, Opinion, Nonsense

Where is the outrage for the cost of Gillette Fusion blades? Perhaps this is why the Boston Red Sox team looks like Lumberjacks. Must be the naming rights for the New England Patriots football stadium. Gillette, the best a man can get while draining his wallet. It's that time of year again Jets fans - that's right, football season, where every Jet fan gets his jersey ready and a paper bag over his head. I haven't been this negative for a Jets schedule since, well last year. While taking out the recyclables and trash Thursday night I thought of something, Miley Cyrus. Maybe she and Janet Jackson can do this year’s Super Bowl (I mean big game) half time show, powered by the Home Depot and brought to you by Subway, eat fresh!

Florida schools mandate students to wear uniforms in Elementary and Middle school, but not high school.  If ever a time for uniforms it's high school where kids bodies change in a NY Minute. Can Mr. Spock explain this pretzel logic? If you caught my Steely Dan reference, check them out on WEHM radio at least 10 times a day. Would high school faculty prefer students to wear gangsta rap loose fitting pants and short skirts for girls? I think not.

Also in Florida middle schools Physical Education is an elective. Really? Perhaps this might explain childhood obesity in the sunshine state. Oh Kids exercise...their right to operate cell phones, video games, email, and texting.

This is not your father’s PE. Paul Sapienza, bless his heart, the best gym teacher/coach in the history of gym.

The most exercise children get in Florida is cutting in line at the local Golden Corral. Imagine the fear and panic for the price gouging restaurants in the Hamptons if a Golden Corral would stampede into East Hampton. Don't think it can happen, think again. The conservative town board members are about as old as the Supreme Court members, and their stale and unimaginative ancient way of thinking that fast food and restaurant chains should be forbidden, is coming to end with the influx of yuppies, DINKS, and WASPS on the East End. Funny, I thought there was a 7/11 in Sag Harbor and Montauk. Too bad these "local" 7/11's can't sell gasoline at normal, non-price gouging rates. Fill-up today in East Hampton and receive a free Gillette Fusion blade.

I'm just wondering how much longer the brain trust honchos for the Unamazin NY Mets will wait for phenom starting pitcher Mike Harvey to have Tommy John Surgery. Why do the Mets charge flex ticket pricing when all of the visiting teams are better than them. Well, thank you Johnny Gilbert, because they can.

Do you think ESPN owned Disney Channel has either Richard Nixoned all the Hannah Montana tapes or filed them away in Washington with the JFK files? Film at 11 on MTV.

Is it me or is the Weather Channel completely disappointed in this year’s slow hurricane season? I'm sure studio moguls and HR is begging for a storm so Jim Cantore can go on the road for all the reporting that's sure to go wrong. I'm not sure which is worse, attractive women sideline reporters dumbing it down for first time sports fans, while reporting the known and obvious, or the weather channels Mike Seidel or Jim Cantore reporting live during hurricanes. Yeah guys, generally speaking a hurricane has high winds, lots of torrential rain, and dangerous surf and tides and storm surge. Remember we all have smart phones.

CNN's Jane Veliz Mitchel reports the situation in Syria is to be blamed on embattled wash up and PED user, Alex Rodriguez. She also mentions that the 8,000 bridges nationwide are in dire, serious need of repair and are not important enough to fix, and that bombing Syria is of NATIONAL SECURITY and a boost to our trillion dollar debt and deficit. Patch and pray on the roads near you. Give ‘em a break
