Holiday Recipe: Homemade Eggnog

Nick & Toni's Executive Chef offers a suggestion for your holiday table.

We've asked local chefs to submit their favorite recipes that are appropriate for the holiday table. Here's a recipe from Executive Joe Realmuto.

Homemade Eggnog

  • 6 eggs, separated
  • 1 cups sugar
  • 1 cups Jack Daniel’s
  • 1 cups Dark Rum
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 2 cups Heavy Cream, whipped to soft peak
  • Nutmeg TT

Procedure:

Whip egg whites till stiff peak but not too dry.

Beat egg yolks well, add sugar and beat till smooth.  Slowly add Jack, Rum and Milk, fold in whipped cream.

Fold the egg whites into the Nog mixture slowly.

Serve with a dash of nutmeg.
