The Montauk Lighthouse will soon be aglow in holiday lights.
On Nov. 30, the Lighthouse Committee of the Montauk Historical Society and the Lighthouse staff will host a lighthouse lighting event from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. The event will feature live music, caroling and Santa.
Then, on Dec. 1 bring the kids to the lighthouse to meet and take photos with Santa.
Both events are just a few of the holiday celebrations taking place in Montauk next week.

Turkey Trot
On Thanksgiving Day, a Turkey Trot, sponsored by the Keeshan Real Estate and the East Hampton Town Recreation Dept. will take place at 10:00 a.m. at the Montauk Circle.

The fun run has categories for all ages and two races — a three-mile and a six-mile. For registration information call the East Hampton Parks & Recreation Dept at 631-324-2417. The first 300 registered get a free T-shirt.
Family Fun Day
On Saturday, Nov. 30, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. the Montauk Yacht Club is holding a free event for kids where children can make holiday crafts and tree ornaments.
Holiday Rummage Sale/Library Book Sale
The Montauk Community Church will hold a holiday rummage sale on Saturday, Nov 30 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Also, on Nov. 30, the Montauk Library will host a holiday book sale from 10:00 a.m. to 3 p.m.
