This Wednesday night I will be guest bar tending at the back bar at on Montauk Highyway in East Hampton to raise money for . Mamalee Rose and Friends will be playing. Last week was our first week and we had a great time. The fundraising goal is $50,000. All tips collected will go towards this goal. Thank you to Michael for taking a chance for a great cause as he had no idea if I could even open a beer bottle. A very special thank you to Eugene Depasquale who helped me set up and stayed for a while to make sure the customers were served and I did not get buried.
The Retreat is the only domestic violence shelter on the East End. East Hampton Rotary has not only been a supporter of The Retreat but donated the initial $20,000 grant to get them started. Local resident and Honorary East Hampton Rotary club member Sherry Wolf was instumental in making that happen.
